I spent a year and a half intentionally being single. When I felt that season had come to an end, knowing where to start was overwhelming. I had used this app before, so after seeing an ad for it on Instagram, I decided to give it another shot. Our first date was at a coffee shop in December, and when I first saw him, he was even cuter than he was in his pictures! We instantly clicked and talked for hours. Afterward, we walked along the pier and explored downtown, making our first date an all-day event. From that moment on, we were pretty much inseparable. He was so easy to be with and a lot of fun.

On New Year’s Eve, we played pickleball with his friends and celebrated together. Later, we went back to his apartment and stayed up until about 4 a.m., just talking and looking into each other's eyes. That was the night he asked me to be his girlfriend. Since then, we’ve enjoyed many adventures, like ice skating, hiking in Colorado, rollerblading, wrestling, and playing disc golf, all while enjoying lots of food and coffee.

From the start, he has been so loving, caring, thoughtful, and an amazing spiritual leader. We attended each other’s churches and made it a priority to keep Christ at the center of our relationship. One night in February, Trevor had a work party, and it was then that I knew we had something special. The way we interacted with each other and others was unique. It may not sound extraordinary, but there was something about that night that made me certain.

One of the most memorable moments was the night he told me he loved me. We were walking around a pond near his apartment on a cold, dark evening. At one point, we stopped to look up at the stars, and I lay on the ground so we could just enjoy the moment. He said that was the night he knew he loved me. I didn’t say it back right away, but he was so confident in our relationship that he didn’t push me in any way, which made me fall for him even more. A few weeks later, I finally said it back, and his reaction was so adorable; he was genuinely excited.

Trevor has continued to love me and grow as my best friend, and I’m incredibly grateful for that. He’s goofy, supportive, and embodies everything I never knew I could have in a partner. We started discussing marriage pretty early on, which led to some struggles later. Thankfully, we haven’t really had any fights; just some disagreements and a learning process on how to combine our lives. Learning to communicate effectively took time and has been one of the most crucial aspects of our relationship. We've built a foundation of trust and vulnerability with each other.

Trevor has shown me that I can trust him completely. He leads us well in a Christ-centered relationship. I’m happy to say that we are engaged! The proposal was the most amazing night. He truly made it special and a surprise—nothing I ever expected but everything I could have wished for. Now we are in the midst of wedding planning, continuing to grow and learn about life as we move toward marriage.

It’s incredible to think that all of this started from an app! I never could have imagined that it would lead me to my forever person. I am forever grateful for a platform that helps Christians find each other; it has completely changed my life. Trevor is truly a man of God, and he is the most amazing man I’ve ever known. I cannot wait to marry him.
