Kaci & Jacob

Jake and I met, like many people these days, online. Kaci was about to delete the app when she came across Jake's profile. He appeared to be a kind and caring guy who loves Jesus, so she decided to give it a shot.

Our first date took place at a coffee shop and then transitioned into lunch. During this time, my maid of honor jokingly asked me to bring her a doggy bag from the date, and we ended up bonding over our families' mutual connections to the mob. After five hours of conversation, we wrapped up the date with plans to meet again. From that moment on, we’ve been nurturing our relationship (or just hanging out for the first month, as Kaci puts it).

On March 8th, Jake and Kaci celebrated their anniversary with a dinner at the Melting Pot. While waiting for the dessert course, Kaci grew impatient and began to complain about the wait. Jake urged her to be patient, as he had a surprise in store. Unbeknownst to Kaci, he was waiting for her Maid of Honor to come around the corner to take pictures of the engagement.

Once her Maid of Honor appeared, Jake placed the ring box on the table and asked Kaci to marry him. She said, "YES!" We are now happily married and excited to begin our life together, all thanks to Upward!
