Josh and I met on Upward in December of 2021. We matched and instantly hit it off. A few weeks later, Josh asked me out on a date. At the time, I was in Denver over Christmas break, home from college. Our first date was at Beau Jo’s Pizza in Fort Collins, Colorado. We instantly clicked, and a few days later, Josh visited me over New Year's for a long weekend at my parent's house.
Josh went back to Laramie to finish school and I headed back up to Montana. The two of us took turns traveling back and forth over the semester and throughout the summer as well. The two of us have gone camping, attended multiple concerts, gone to weddings, and tried new activities.
Josh and I continued to persevere through the long distance. We visited each other as often as we could. On December 10, 2022, Josh proposed to me on the same day that he graduated from college. After his graduation ceremony, we went out to lunch with both of our families to our favorite restaurant. After lunch, Josh insisted on taking a walk on his favorite bridge in Laramie to “take one more walk down memory lane.” About halfway through the bridge, Josh popped the question. I was shocked! Of course, I said yes!
We thank God ultimately for bringing us together, and Upward for making it possible for us to find each other.
Josh and I will be getting married on July 6, 2023 in Genesee, Colorado.
