Brad and I matched on a dating app that I often deleted and re-downloaded. I had encountered many people who called themselves Christian but didn’t truly have faith, and Brad shared that he experienced the same. After deleting the app again, a little voice inside me said, "Just one more time." Brad was the only person I matched with on Upward.
After chatting for a day, he asked me out, and I was hesitant. Going on dates that didn’t lead to anything had become tiring. However, I eventually agreed. We went to a charming steakhouse, got ice cream, and took a walk in the park. The date was lovely and felt so comfortable. He never pressured me to go out with him and wanted to talk for hours before we met. It felt like I had known him all along.
Our first date turned into a second, then a third, and soon we were seeing each other every day, meeting each other's families and friends. After seven months of traveling together, spending time in the Word, praying together, and attending church, he got down on one knee! We are getting married on April 5th, 2025.
Before meeting him, I was in a place where I felt that God didn’t have a husband in my future, and I was exploring careers through which I could honor God better than where I was. Brad is a physical representation of God’s love and grace for me. I’ve never loved anyone before him and thank God every day for it! Don’t give up.
