I relocated to Omaha, Nebraska, to work at a local church for two years. During the first three months, I was single and not actively seeking a relationship. I already had the Upward dating app and would occasionally use it without much seriousness. One day, I received a notification about a match with a woman named Becca, who also messaged me asking about my favorite worship songs. Although I was unsure about responding, I checked her profile and felt compelled to reply. We began messaging, which led to phone calls and FaceTime conversations. On September 28th, I traveled to Grand Island to meet her in person. It was a magical experience, and it felt like we had known each other for years! The following week, I asked her to be my girlfriend, and she agreed! After dating for several months, I proposed to her on February 15th, and she thankfully accepted! We are planning our wedding for September 27th!
