Better Together
We met on the Upward Dating app in November 2020. I always wanted a partner who shared the same Christian values as me. I had been praying for the right guy to come into my life. One day, a Christian influencer I follow on Instagram recommended this app for Christian singles. After much thought and prayer, I felt like God was telling me to take that leap of faith and try out this dating app. One evening, while out for dinner with my girlfriend, we both downloaded it and the first profile I saw was Kyle's. We matched instantly, and our adventure began. We took our time building a friendship first and then progressed into a relationship. I believe that this approach enabled us to get to know each other better, and we can now say that we are best friends. In January 2023, we went to Hawaii, and on our last night there, Kyle got down on one knee and asked me to marry him. Without any hesitation, I said yes! Now, we are planning our wedding, which will take place in 11 days. If I could give any advice to anyone on this app, it would be to take that leap of faith. God has someone so special for you, and he has your person. It will just take time and patience. I thank God every day for bringing us together! From our first picture ever taken to the proposal picture, to the engagement picture, we have made some beautiful memories together.
